Remove the doll's head
First, get it naked.
This doll's head is held on by a zip tie.
The head falls off after cutting the zip tie.
Remove the plug from the head so that the head can be placed over your 40.
Check that the head, doll, and 40 are all about the same size.
Make an area for the 40
I used a large plastic water bottle to create a sleeve that will contain the 40.
Remove stuffing from the doll.
The doll should be empty, but there should still be stuffing in the arms and legs.
Put the plastic sleeve in the doll.
Hot glue the cloth body of the doll to the sleeve around the neckline.
The neck hole is probably not large enough to fit the 40, so tear down the back seam of the doll as necessary to make the sleeve fit. Be sure to hot glue this area so it doesn't tear.
Now that the sleeve is in place, cut the sleeve down the back seam. This will allow the sleeve to be loose enough to support your 40 but still allow for easy removal.
Check that the 40 fits
The 40 shouldn't stick up too high past the neckline.
It should fit easily into the sleeve.
Now is a good time to do a test run with the doll in the BabyBjorn.
Optionally, you can add a velcro strap to keep the doll body snugly on the 40.
You may need to carve out the doll head to get a snug fit to the 40.
Put it all together
Put the clothes back on...
...and the head.
You'd never know the doll is loaded.
Now, put the doll in the carrier and give it a try!
